Follow After Righteousness (Isa.51:1-3)

The righteous has a model to look up to - Abraham. Abraham was called from a pagan background; he had an unshakable faith in God that was credited to him as righteousness. His life 50 much pleased God that He made a covenant with him; the covenant is still valid till today. The covenant resulted not only in blessing for Abraham, but also in a blessing to all nations of the earth through Abraham. The righteous has the privilege of looking at how God dealt With Abraham as an example of what God does for those who choose to live righteous lives. God promises to comfort those who choose righteousness, turn their desert into gardens of the Lord where joy and gladness will be found. Since God fulfilled His promise to Abraham, He is committed to fulfilling His promises to the righteous.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: God blessed Abraham because Abraham was righteous. PRAYER POINT: I overcome every challenge that wants to undermine my faith; I will grow in righteousness in Jesus' name.
